Walikota Makassar Mohammad Ramdhan Pomanto akan memprogramkan Kampung Kera-kera sebagai obyek wisata di tengah kota. Berada di sekitar kawasan Sungai Tallo, Kera-kera adalah kampung bersejarah yang mayoritas didiami warga asli Makassar.
Kampung yang terletak di Kelurahan Tamalanrea Indah, Kecamatan Tamalanrea, Makassar ini merupakan daerah yang masih asli dan asri.
“Potensi jadi tempat pariwisata tengah kota. Kera-kera harus sama-sama kita pikirkan. Beberapa persoalan mendasar infrastruktur perlu dibenahi di sini,” terangnya.
“Saya berfikir ini daerah bagus sekali. Daerah ini orang tidak melihat bagaimana kalau ditata, tapi saya mampu melihat bagaimana prospek ke depan kalau ditata, ini sangat baik. Pengembangan Sungai Tallo menjadi pariwisata belum tersentuh, kalau itu mau dilakukan, maka Kera-kera ini yang duluan harus disentuh,” tegas Danny.
Tak hanya itu, Danny juga akan membantu pengadaan air bersih di wilayah tersebut, khususnya untuk air siap minum.
“Insha Allah tahun ini kita belikan mesin pengolahan air minum. Sama seperti di Tallo, satu hari kapasitas 600 liter. Tahun ini Insha Allah ada 1 untuk Kera-kera. Satu dulu yang penting terbukti,” katanya.
